Edward Edwards – 1968: Sunset Senior Play, “Thieves Carnival”, 1968; Actor with roles in over 50 different TV Shows; including “House”, “Desperate Housewives”, “24”. “Commander in Chief”, “Boston Legal”, “Without A Trace”, “CSI”, Crime Scene Investigation”, “NYPD Blue”, “Monk”, “Criminal Minds”, “Frasier”, “Family Ties”, “JAG”, “Dukes of Hazard”; numerous TV commercials.
Dr. Jo Gayle Dillon Howard – 1969: Smithsonian Research Scientist; discovered the key to reproduction success and longevity of Pandas and Clouded Leopards
Don Randall – 1969: State and National Champion in Shot Put, at Sunset, 1969; 61’; All America.
Rudy Jarmillo – 1970: MVP, Sunset Baseball Team, 1970; The University of Texas; former Hitting Coach for Texas Rangers, 15 years; also for Astros and Cubs; Texas Baseball Hall of Fame; Hispanic Heritage Baseball Hall of Fame, DISD Athletics Hall of Fame
Danny Hall – 1970: Drum Major, Bison Band and Stampede Editor, 1970; Deputy Chief of Mission, U.S. State Department, Helsinki, Finland; Arnold Raphel Award; Ancestor Lyman Hall, U.S. Representative from Georgia, signed Declaration of Independence.
Wayne Watts – 1972: General Counsel and Senior Executive VP, AT&T; 32 years; joined Company known as Southwestern Bell; known as “one of the most influential business lawyers in U.S.”.
Dr. Michael Hinojosa – 1975: Sunset Basketball Letterman, 1975; Future Teachers of America; Teacher and Coach, W.H. Adamson High School and Stockard Middle School; School Superintendent, Cobb County, Georgia and three Texas ISD’s; Dallas School Superintendent, 2005-2011 and 2015 to present.

Lauren Blackburn – 2010: State Champion in Girl’s 100 meter hurdles 2009 & 2010; State Champion in Girl’s 300 meter hurdles, 2010; Named “Girl’s Athlete of the Year” by Texas Track and Field Coaches Association.
