During past school renovations, the National Honor Society picture boards that had been on display for so man years on the third floor were removed and placed in storage.
Over the years, some of the boards were damaged and some pictures misplaced. A restoration project was initiated around 2005 to refurbish, repair or replace the boards. The cost of the entire project was over $5000. Thankfully, many generous alumni donated to help defray the costs of this restoration. In addition, we are extremely grateful to Paula Roe McCown, Class of 1970 formerly of Roe-Art Picture Framing in DeSoto who donated the labor required to frame more than 50 panels. Thank you to our Alumni who help us maintain the history of Sunset! |
